First time here?

If this is your first time here...welcome.

The Algonquin Railway is my attempt to create a free-lanced Model Railway in Northern Ontario.

Layout Construction started in 2010 and continues albeit in a very much reduced capacity, since the layout is at the 95% scenic'd stage.  There are still many details to add and operating sessions to hold.

Here are two posts I suggest you read to get a better understanding of the layout.

Track Plan and Layout Photo Tour

You will also find many posts regarding the modelling of rolling stock for the Grand Trunk New England Lines.  I am currently in the planing stages of building a new Proto based layout, about the Grand Trunk in and around South Paris Maine,  circa 1954-56.  While I plan the new layout and prep the new space,  I have been building the necessary rolling stock.

Eventually I will start a new blog about the Grand Trunk layout.

Until then I hope you find your time here useful and enjoyable.

  1. Ryan, Just heard of your blog from Trevor. I was looking for a way to make 4 - 6 really nice EWP for my O Scale Maine layout. Your method looks to be exactly what I was looking for!
    Thanks,
    Pete
