The waybill files you gave me are a great start, but I am having a bit of a mental block of how to get started with the Photoshop files and scheming plausible routing for the loads in and out. I am going to catalogue all of my freight cars as a start.

Ryan
Ryan Mendellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11076443405709570822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702631807270452611.post-38937247903891933742015-03-30T18:16:15.111-07:002015-03-30T18:16:15.111-07:00Hunter,

They come as two rods and two sleeves to a package for around $7 and are 36" long each. They also include clevises and threaded rod etc. I wold check out the plumbing aisle at Home Depot or Lowes and see if you can find a pipe cap or something you could make a recessed port for the knob. I keep bumping them down the list because I'm not exactly sure how I want to deal with the knobs on the facia. My layout is built in such a way that I'm afraid thing sticking out of the facia will get snapped off. I'm trying to devise a way to have them recessed into the facia. So in the meantime, I'm working on my caboose list. I had a list of seven cabooses that I wanted to finish, and I'm just about finished the last two. I guess I'll have no choice but to get back to those turnout controllers.

HunterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702631807270452611.post-5478168965864299612015-03-30T09:11:42.090-07:002015-03-30T09:11:42.090-07:00Hi Ryan:

I do lists all the time - it helps me keep track of what needs to be done.
Your layout looks great and those few problems we had did not detract from my fun. It'll be even better when they're addressed and it's great that you're serious about addressing them. Too many times in the hobby, people spend their time making excuses (e.g.: "real railways have derailments, too.") instead of trying to do better. So, very well done!
I look forward to another operating session soon, and would be happy to help with things like waybill/paperwork generating.
Cheers!
- Trevor (who needs to punch some of the items on his own to-do list)

Port Rowan in 1:64
An S scale study of a Canadian National Railways branch line ... in its twilight years.
http://themodelrailwayshow.com/cn1950sTrevorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09860331796911162859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2702631807270452611.post-45322513690126291302015-03-30T08:43:30.917-07:002015-03-30T08:43:30.917-07:00Colin,

(bit 2 of CV 29) I know that this helps for stopping runaway locomotives, but that's kinda the opposite problem to what you're having :-)Colin 't Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15623835285718803326noreply@blogger.com
